The Second Cleaning up Activities and Extermination of Invasive Plants “Coreopsis lanceolatus”

On May 17, 2024, with great weather, 9 employees of USJC cleaned the Airis park that USJC is taking care of through Adopt Program and got rid of Coreopsis lanceolatus(*), one of the invasive alien species around Mie Plant.
(*Although Coreopsis lanceolatus are very beautiful flowers similar to cosmos, we eradicated them as they are very tough and reproductive, and may have a negative impact on native ecosystem.)

The amount of collected trash was “9 bags of burnable trash and 1 bag of non-burnable trash”.

※We had permission from Kusanagi Design Ltd. to enter their premises for extermination.
