On August 22, 2024, a summer holiday event for elementary school students, “Science Craft Workshop for Parents and Children,” was held at Kuwana City Hall. USJC’s fab is in Kuwana City, Mie Prefecture and we hosted this event together with Kuwana City and Kuwana association of invention & innovation.
A total of 56 pairs of participants enjoyed crafts while learning about semiconductors under the guidance of lecturers from Aichi Institute of Technology, Mie University, and National Institute of Technology, Gifu College. The event consisted of 2 parts: morning session for lower grades and afternoon session for upper grades.
The number of applicants to this event was approximately five times the available places, which indicated strong interest in semiconductors.
