Ownership of Site, Agreement to Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) apply to your access to this website of United Semiconductor Japan Co., Ltd. (“USJC”) and websites of its affiliates (collectively, “UMC Group”) that are linked directly or indirectly from this website (collectively, “the Site”). By accessing, browsing, copying, or using any information and other material and services contained on the Site, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions described under the Terms.

All the information, communications, scripting, text, graphics, photographs, trademarks, logos, sounds, music, software, videos and other materials and services contained on the Site (collectively, “Content”) and all the intellectual property rights related to the Content is owned, controlled or licensed by or to USJC or UMC Group. The Content of the Site is for the lawful and legitimate use by USJC's customers, employees and members of the general public. Access to the Site does not confer upon you any license under any of the intellectual property right of USJC, UMC Group or other rightful owner.

Copyright and Restrictions on Use of Content

The Content together with any other copyrighted material belongs to USJC, the original author, or other entities (collectively, "Author").
Except as expressly provided in the Terms, or with USJC's or respective Author's prior express written consent, or as permitted under the applicable laws and regulations including but not limited to copyright laws, no part of the Site and no Content may be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, downloaded, modified, posted, publicly displayed, encoded, translated, transmitted, distributed, incorporated into another site or in any other way exploiting any of the Content. • Acts that hurt the appearance of the Site, such as frame link.
• Other acts that USJC deems inappropriate.

Trademark and Service Mark Information

Proprietary logos, service marks, trademarks, slogans and product designations can be found on the Site (collectively, “Trademarks”) belong to or is duly licensed to USJC. USJC is not granting you a license to use them in any means. Access to the Site does not confer upon you any license under any of USJC's or any third party's Trademarks. Linking to the Site

Permission is granted to link to the Site if you comply with the following linking policy: your site shall not slander or damage USJC, UMC Group or contain inappropriate content; you may not create a frame around USJC or UMC Group content or create any impression by any other method that the content does not belong to USJC or UMC Group; you shall use our names correctly.
USJC or UMC Group shall not be responsible for any loss, damage, complaint or claim (including the claim for damages by a third party) as a result of your access to the website linking to or from the Site. Furthermore, USJC or UMC Group makes no representation and warranty, either expressed or implied, regarding the content of the website linking to the Site.
This permission terminates automatically if you breach any terms or conditions of the Terms. Upon termination, you shall remove any link to the Site.

USJC reserves the right to change or discontinue any or all elements of the Site, including its structure, terms and conditions, URL, and the Content and information therein without prior notice. USJC reserves the right to interrupt or discontinue operation of the Site without prior notice.

This Privacy Statement discloses the fundamental information that is collected through the Site and how such information is used that may personally identify you (to the extent that such legitimate interest is not overridden by your interests, fundamental rights and freedoms). Any claims or disputes between you and USJC or UMC Group arising out of or in connection with the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court of Japan.
